Procedural posture

A debtor petitioned for relief under chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code. Appellee bankruptcy trustee commenced an adversary proceeding against appellant credit card company, seeking to recover alleged preferential transfers under 11 U.S.C.S. § 547(b). The bankruptcy court granted summary judgment in favor of the trustee. The Bankruptcy Appellate Panel of the Sixth Circuit affirmed the bankruptcy court's decision. The credit card company appealed.
